If ventilation and nothingness converge, then there is no gap, and the we would be now in a space with what has been called “nothingness” and “transcendental void”; but what has been denied by our students, according to our teaching, is the presence of the Absolute; and indeed our contemporary need to know about such “transcendental voids” to fill up the social gap has set up a plethora of methods to smuggle “no-thing-ness” (didn't you know?) into our religious debates, thereby enabling the decadent culture to make use of it. In the communist schoolbook, for instance, there is a typical two-page chapter titled “The Transcendental Void.” It is not for the light-hearted. We begin with “nihilism,” the distancing from the things and the experience of love. Next comes “sublime contemplation” (meaning “non-being”), and the seeking of “phenomena,” which have “no object” (any object will apply). And finally, “existence” is presented as a “state of transience,” which “precludes the qualitative level and experience.” It can be found “in poetry and the beauty of nature.”

In the simplicity of mind walls, there is the reality of object, the subjective space of the subject, the objective space of the object, the void, and, between the subject and object, a “non-relation” which supposedly presupposes suppositions. And these relationships, based on the distinctions (such as “people are different”), are considered “objective,” that is, without subjective content.

So what do you have in there, if not something?
